By common consent, Jóhannes Sveinsson Kjarval (1885-1972) is the greates painter Iceland has produced, as well as the most Icelandic in temperament.
The book contains 37 pictures of various techniques and is made with the help and co-operation of the Reykjavík Art Museum.
